It's been kinda weird since NaBloPoMo ended. I have had a cold and a UTI (sorry if that's TMI for you) and now I think I may have a sinus infection. The cold hit me full force the morning of my daughter's first concert, and there was no way that I was going to miss that. Bundled up with M. (who caught the cold at the same time) and went out to the school to hear her. Now I know what my parents endured in the beginning, and if C. decides to continue, what I will likely continue to hear. I forgot how limited the range is when first learning an instrument and how simple the pieces are, but she said that she had a great time.
Today was the first day that she served at Mass. She was all nervous beforehand, but did really well. We got to take up the gifts, which was really nice. We got in her line to receive Communion, and she gave me a little smile. M. got all verklempt, which is unusual for him. Last night she lost her first molar. Since December 21st marks her half-birthday, it makes sense that December be a month of new things for her.
Saw Sting this morning on CBS Sunday Morning. He is still stuck-up, but seems to be mellowing ever so slightly. Can't believe he's 57, as in my head he still looks the way he did for the Synchronicity album. I do have the new album, but am waiting for tomorrow to listen.
My sister is coming in on Wednesday, and my best friend flew in today. We are going out at least twice whilst the best friend is around, so should be interesting things to report.
I need to go to bed, but just wanted to check in. It seems as though the holiday spirit has hit some of us more than others, which is cool. The way it is materially overdone here drags the holiday away from family, friends, peace and an opportunity for new beginnings. I prefer quiet and calm with family, and I hope all of you are able to find peace and love with those you love.

Cute vegetable stop motion by Robyn:
"The Day Before Boxing Day is the Nativity via the unique universe of Robyn Hitchock. Directed by Robyn Hitchcock & Hannah Bird."
Merry Christmas to all of you!
